Abraad Environmental Protection Association based in Mareb, Republic of Yemen is a non-Governmental and a Non-profit- making organization established in October 16, 2001 with the aim of maintaining environment protection in the Governorate of Mareb to meet the international standards and requirements of protection and conservation of natural resources.Although it's in its beginning stages, AEPA is determined to pursue this challenging task of national importance without let or hindrance. AEPA's success will be dependant upon government and international support including full and continuous cooperation from the local population.

AEPA's Objectives

 1) To advise and educate public of Mareb province on environmental conservation and protection.

 2) Maintaining the importance of the need of using our water resources wisely.

 3) Trying to overcome the problems caused by oil & gas pollution in Mareb region.

4)Tree planting, preservation and protection of desert species is our main concern.

5)The importance of trying to motivate Mareb women in contributing towardsolving environmental problems and integrate the role of women into the development.

 6) Encouraging the participation of Arab and International organizations in highlighting the environmental problems faced by Mareb people.

 7) Last and not least is the monumental importance of preserving our national heritage.
