Quite a while a go in the history of Yemen there stand a civilization of publical proportion. This civilization established itself in the valleys of east of Yemen where the mountains intersects with “Ramlat Al-Sabeten” which is part of empty quarter. And on Wadi Thana valley a city known as Mareb was the capital of Sheba kingdom which is the oldest kingdom in Yemen history. And this represents the history of all Yemen. The Queen Of Sheba named Balquis was s very famous queen who was mentioned in the holy Quran & torah. In this prestige kingdom a dam was built by Queen of Sheba which is known as Mareb dam and it was capable of cultivating the whole of Mareb kingdom. This is not an exaggeration but really it was known as the land of two paradises. The old ruins are present all over Mareb region as sign to confirm that the kingdom existed and one of this sign is Mareb dam which is about 3000 years ago.

As you can read from the above short description about the history of Mareb region and it's importance in preserving the national heritage so that the future generation can look at their past history with pride. This is where AEPA comes into play in making sure that the objectives mentioned earlier in one of the web pages are met.
